36One 2018 | A RACE AGAINST EXTINCTION

Posted by Cheetah Preservation Foundation on Tue April 10, 2018 in Cheetah Preservation Foundation NPC.

We will be joining forces with Dryland Events Management again this year, and our Operations Director, Hugo du Plessis will be taking part in the 36ONE event from 20 – 22 April 2018.

Hugo took part last year and finished this grueling race in 25 hours in honour of the Ranch's 30 year anniversary and to celebrate The Cheetah Preservation Foundation as a registered non-profit organisation.

This gave us the opportunity to highlight the dwindling numbers of cheetah and to raise awareness for their species and plight. Larger than that though, the foundation represents all endangered species.

The 36ONE is an endurance mountain bike challenge done over 361 kilometers through a strenuous terrain over day and night. Our Operations Director has committed to this challenge again this year to raise awareness and funds for The Cheetah Preservation Foundation.

Funds generated from this specific event will be used towards constructing more cheetah camps at our Jill Bryden-Fayers Private Cheetah Reserve. A portion of the funds will also go towards our annual donations towards the Madagascar Fauna & Flora Group and Vulpro.

We would greatly appreciate if you would consider assisting us. There are 2 options:

In South Africa, COVID-19 restrictions have been ongoing for a harrowing 11 weeks.
